Owners of manor Hvalevskoe won the “Cultural Heritage” National Award


29042014Awards ceremony was held on April 24 at the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg.

Vera Voicehovskaya-Kachalova Yury Voicehovsky won the “Cultural Heritage” National Award in the “Owner” category for the activity to revive the monument of architecture and landscape art of the Kachalovs’ manor “Hvalevskoe” in Vologda Region, Babaevsky District, Borisovo-Sudskoe village, as well as for the organization of museum on the basis of the manor and for the promotion of the cultural center of the manor lifestyle.

Annual National Award “Cultural Heritage” is the only nationwide prize in Russia helping to identify initiatives of legal and private entities aimed at revitalizing the historic real-estate heritage in the country. The award was established in 2005 by the National Fund “Revival of Russian manor” supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
