The Strategic Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Russian Investment Agency and the Administration of Smolensk region
On October 30, 2014 an agreement on strategic cooperation was signed between the Russian Investment Agency and the Administration of the Smolensk region.
The document was signed by the Governor Alexey Ostrovsky and the Chief Executive Officer of the Agency Yury Voicehovsky. The agreement is aimed at developing the strategic partnership and establishing a long-term comprehensive cooperation in the area of preparation and implementation of investment projects.
The Governor of the region, Alexei Ostrovsky, said he was ready to work personally with those willing to invest in the region. The most promising, in his view, are investments in agriculture and logistics. Potential investors are, in particular, interested in the development of transport, – explained the Agency’s CEO Yury Voicehovsky.
The Agency will consider the Administration of Smolensk region as a strategic partner. It will provide the regional authorities with information about potential investors interested in investment projects in the region, will carry out other information, consulting and organizational support to activities under the Agreement, will invite the regional authorities to participate in negotiations with the project proponents as well as investors interested in projects in the Smolensk region.
